Staff Auditor – Internal Audit Division

About the role

The Internal Audit Division is seeking qualified professionals to join as Staff Auditors at three progressive levels (Auditor I, II, III). The role involves conducting audits of financial, administrative, and technical functions to ensure compliance with departmental policies, directives, and applicable laws, while assessing operational effectiveness and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and execute audits in accordance with professional auditing standards.
• Consolidate and summarize audit information, develop audit programs, and prepare final audit reports.
• Perform internal control studies, risk assessments, and evaluate compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Maintain, review, and prepare confidential documentation and management‑related programs.
• Interact with departmental staff, managers, and executives as required.

Required profile

• Relevant academic background in accounting, finance, or related field.
• Ability to work independently on assignments, with escalation of unusual issues to supervisors.
• Strong analytical and research skills to assess policies, procedures, and project documents.

• Competitive salary ranges: $50,000‑$57,999 for Auditor I, $58,000‑$65,000 for Auditor II, $65,001‑$75,000 for Auditor III.
