Staff Audiologist

About the role

The University of Miami/UHealth Department of Otolaryngology – Ear Institute is seeking a full‑time Staff Audiologist for its new SoLe Mia clinic in North Miami, FL. The role focuses on pediatric hearing assessment, interpretation of test results, and collaboration with families and healthcare professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Perform immittance and emissions testing and record results for children.
• Conduct auditory evoked potential, otoacoustic emission, and auditory brainstem response assessments.
• Administer behavioral observation, visual reinforcement, play, and conventional audiometry.
• Interpret age‑appropriate auditory and speech perception tests.
• Dispense and fit assistive listening devices based on patient needs.
• Provide consultation to physicians and other professionals regarding patient progress and future needs.
• Maintain comprehensive client records from initial evaluation through discharge.
• Travel to satellite clinics as required and provide coverage for neurodiagnostic, cochlear implant, and vestibular specialties.

Required profile

• Licensed Audiologist with experience in pediatric audiology.
• Ability to work full‑time on‑site and travel to satellite locations.
• Flexibility to cover multiple audiology specialties in the absence of a co‑worker.
• Bilingual ability preferred.
• Commitment to staying current with regulations and emerging hearing‑disorder treatments.
