Staff Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a Staff Accountant to support the monthly close and maintain accurate financial records for a growing organization. This role focuses on general ledger accounting, journal entries, account reconciliations and fixed assets. The Staff Accountant will also help strengthen accounting procedures and resolve issues as the finance function develops.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly journal entries, accruals, prepaids and reclassifications.
• Complete balance sheet, bank, cash and general ledger reconciliations, researching and resolving differences.
• Maintain fixed asset records and account for construction‑in‑progress, depreciation and capital expenditures.
• Support month‑end close schedules and ensure accounting records are complete and accurate.
• Assist with accounting system data, opening balances and process documentation.
• Support internal controls, audit requests and coordination with other members of the finance team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 2–5 years of accounting experience with strong general ledger and month‑end close exposure.
• Hands‑on experience preparing journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Strong Excel skills and experience with an accounting system or ERP.
• Organized, detail‑oriented and able to manage deadlines.
