Staff Accountant – Hybrid (Salt Lake City)

About the role

Moog Medical Devices Group is looking for a Staff Accountant to join its finance team in Salt Lake City. The position is hybrid and reports to the Site Controller, supporting the company’s mission to design and manufacture advanced medical infusion devices.

Key responsibilities

• Reconcile balance‑sheet accounts at period end and prepare journal entries.
• Analyze transactions to determine period‑end accruals and variances.
• Support the annual external audit by providing documentation and responding to inquiries.
• Assist in monthly, quarterly and annual close processes, including financial statement preparation.
• Contribute to the annual budgeting process and update accounting policies.
• Participate in cross‑training initiatives to understand broader financial operations.
• Work on special projects and perform ad‑hoc duties as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum three years of experience in financial accounting, auditing, or financial reporting.
• Knowledge of ERP systems, internal controls and US‑GAAP.
• Proficiency with MS Excel for complex spreadsheets and functions.
• Strong analytical and written/verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to shifting priorities.
• Experience in healthcare, medical devices, life sciences or other regulated industries; CPA preferred.
