About the role

The University of Miami/UHealth Department of Medicine seeks a full‑time Sr. Sponsored Programs Specialist to work remotely. The role supports faculty and administrators in preparing funding proposals, ensures compliance with grant regulations, and oversees junior staff.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance to faculty and administrators during proposal development.
• Review grant applications for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain internal proposal documents and electronic records for the assigned portfolio.
• Process post‑award actions such as award notifications, amendments, and close‑out coordination.
• Monitor budget revisions, award terms, and subcontracting activity.
• Oversee audits, petty‑cash reconciliations, and invoice processing.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum three years of experience in sponsored program administration or related area.
• Strong learning agility, teamwork orientation, and clear written and verbal communication.

Required skills

• Proficiency with standard office software and relevant computer applications.
