Sr FPGA Engineering Manager

About the role

Moog is seeking a Senior FPGA Engineering Manager to lead a small team of FPGA engineers and drive FPGA projects from concept through production. The role is based onsite in New York and requires a blend of technical expertise and people leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of approximately five FPGA engineers.
• Assign projects, monitor progress, and ensure delivery within technical, cost, and schedule constraints.
• Conduct performance reviews and support career development of direct reports.
• Champion continuous improvement of FPGA design and development processes.
• Derive FPGA requirements from system specifications and interface protocols.
• Develop reusable VHDL modules and participate in code and design reviews.
• Create and execute verification procedures and document results.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• At least five years of hands‑on experience with VHDL and FPGA design.
• Proven experience leading engineering teams.
• Strong analytical, critical‑thinking, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work onsite in New York and obtain a U.S. security clearance.
