Sr. Audit Manager - P&C

About the role

Group Audit is an international team of 250 colleagues working to keep Zurich safe. The Sr. Audit Manager works closely with GA leaders to drive the evolution of the function and transform ways of working. This hybrid role is based in Schaumburg, Illinois, requiring three days onsite and two days remote.

Key responsibilities

• Perform risk assessments with Functional and Regional Audit Executives and develop the audit plan aligned with key risks and trends.
• Oversee a diverse portfolio of risk‑based audits focusing on commercial property and casualty topics such as underwriting, claims, product and reinsurance.
• Provide subject‑matter expertise across audit processes, including scoping, reporting and stakeholder meetings.
• Track and close agreed audit actions and support continuous evolution of audit capabilities.
• Identify trends, influence stakeholders and report themes to Group and local executives and Audit Committees.
• Support Business Audit Leaders in stakeholder discussions and develop strong peer relationships.
• Manage performance and career development of assigned team members.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years audit experience, or High School diploma with 12+ years audit experience, or Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice with associate’s degree and 10+ years audit experience.
• 8‑10 years relevant auditing experience, including 2‑4 years in senior manager or VP/Director level roles.
• Experience in third‑party, outsourcing and project‑management auditing; commercial insurance experience is a plus.
• Proven track record of implementing change, transformation and a learning culture in a flat hierarchy.
