Accounting Internship - Summer 2027

About the role

Zurich is offering a Summer 2027 Accounting Internship in Schaumburg. Interns will work alongside experienced professionals, contributing to real projects that improve financial processes.

Key responsibilities

• Provide support to functions such as Financial Reporting, General Accounting, Reinsurance, or Accounting Policy.
• Understand insurance profit & loss statements and overall financial operations.
• Develop basic to intermediate skills in SAP BPC and Business Objects queries.
• Acquire advanced Excel capabilities for data analysis.
• Learn international accounting standards and interact with other departments.
• Explore additional functional areas within Zurich through day‑to‑day work.

Required profile

• Actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field, with at least two years of coursework (rising junior or senior).
• Eligibility to work in the U.S. indefinitely.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 (preferred) and strong communication skills.
• Demonstrated problem‑solving ability and self‑motivation.
