Sr. Associate VP & Head of AI Adoption & Clinical Workforce Enablement

About the role

The University of Miami Health System is seeking a senior executive to lead the adoption and integration of artificial intelligence across its clinical and operational landscape. Reporting directly to the UHealth CEO, the Sr. Associate Vice President & Head of AI Adoption & Clinical Workforce Enablement will shape a unified AI strategy that enhances patient care, clinician experience, and institutional growth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute an enterprise‑wide AI strategy aligned with UHealth’s priorities.
• Advise the CEO and senior leadership on AI opportunities, risks, investments, and policy.
• Establish governance frameworks to ensure clinical effectiveness and operational sustainability of AI solutions.
• Lead cross‑functional AI initiatives, assembling teams from clinical, research, informatics, and external experts.
• Partner with service‑line leaders to accelerate AI‑enabled workflow adoption and identify high‑impact use cases.
• Build networks of physician, nursing, and operational champions to sustain adoption.
• Measure and report on AI impact on patient experience, clinician workload, and operational performance.

Required profile

• Proven experience developing and executing enterprise AI strategy within a large healthcare organization.
• Strong track record of influencing senior leadership and securing strategic investments.
• Demonstrated ability to create governance structures for AI deployment.
• Excellent collaboration skills to unite clinical, research, and operational teams.
