Sr Associate IS Analyst - Process Development Labs

About the role

Amgen is hiring a Senior Associate IS Analyst for its Process Development Labs, based at its Thousand Oaks, California facility. The role supports the Benchtop Product Team and helps create a reliable, secure technology environment for scientists, covering laboratory computers, instrument controllers, software and hardware, and data protection, backup and archiving.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the lifecycle of instrument controller software and laboratory computing platforms with the Benchtop Product Team.
• Resolve support requests for laboratory computers, software and Windows upgrades, and troubleshoot systems.
• Coordinate with vendors for controller software, drivers, patches and other software packages.
• Build and support DEV, TEST and PROD environments in cloud and on-premises settings, and test and migrate software and hardware updates.
• Create and maintain documentation and standard operating procedures for lifecycle processes.
• Manage ServiceNow activities such as service access reviews, application CI records, ISA/TPRA, end-of-life servers and orphaned assets.
• Work with business partners to develop practical solutions to day-to-day challenges.

Required profile

• Basic qualification: doctorate with 2 years of experience, or master's with 8-10 years, or bachelor's with 10-14 years, or diploma with 14-18 years of relevant experience.
• 3-5 years of experience in systems administration and infrastructure.
• Proven leadership and organizational skills, including managing multiple software and hardware lifecycle projects.
• Preferred: experience leading technology transformation, working with global distributed teams, and presenting to groups.

Required skills

• Networking, DNS, firewalls, security, patching, AWS and VMware.
• Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Scripting to automate server tasks.
• Preferred: Smartsheet, Excel or Tableau, and generative AI tools such as ChatGPT or Copilot.
