Sr Accountant, ATR - Revenue Accounting

About the role

This role provides finance and accounting expertise to GBS and the Finance Department in Revenue Accounting, managing complex revenue accounting activities independently so that financial reporting is accurate and timely.

Key responsibilities

• Execute journal entries, including adjustments, reclassifications, accruals and billing, and review complex entries against supporting documentation
• Perform and coordinate revenue and rebate account reconciliations (balance sheet, subledger and manual accounts), resolve discrepancies and escalate material issues
• Prepare and control revenue and AR reports, analyse trends and variances and present insights to management
• Support balance sheet accounts, annual and monthly reports and technical analysis of complex transactions
• Identify continuous improvement opportunities, standardise processes across legal entities, run root-cause analysis and monitor results
• Comply with the internal control framework and international SOX requirements, assess controls, support audits and remediate deficiencies
• Meet KPIs and service levels, create and govern DTPs/SOPs, and contribute to process migrations, system testing and cross-training
• Coach accountants, support ad-hoc requests and partner with Finance, Commercial, Tax, Internal Audit and SOX control

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, including significant revenue accounting, general ledger and accounts receivable experience
• Ability to review complex transactions independently and support month-end close
• Strong communication, analytical and organisational skills, able to work independently and in a team
• Preferred: SAP experience (S/4HANA and revenue modules), shared services experience, process improvement knowledge, proficiency in other languages
