Spring Donor and Museum Relations Intern

About the role

Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art and the Momentary in Bentonville, Arkansas, are hiring a 2027 Spring Donor and Museum Relations intern. The role sits in the Donor Relations and Advancement teams, reporting to the Donor and Museum Relations Manager, and supports donor-focused processes such as donor-facing materials, donor tours, travel and event logistics. It runs from January 25 to April 30, 2027, during the museum's campus expansion and a series of celebratory events.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate detailed itineraries for high-level guests so community-facing events meet museum standards.
• Support high-profile donor events: draft internal briefing documents, manage RSVP lists and help at events.
• Assist in coordinating donor tours by creating itineraries and briefing documents.
• Update and learn the CRM system Tessitura.
• Help develop mailing lists and create invitations and other materials using tools such as Paperless Post and Canva.
• Research sites and create materials such as biographies, maps and schedules for the travel program.
• Attend and support events such as Directors Receptions and Momentary concerts, and other donor stewardship activities as assigned.

Required profile

• Willingness to learn donor-centric stewardship and cultivation strategies and event management.
• Sophomore college student or above preferred but not required.
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong writing and editing skills.
• Dependable, punctual, able to work a flexible schedule, with professionalism and discretion.
• Background check required; proof of U.S. work eligibility needed on day one.

What we offer

• Pay of $13.00 for undergraduate interns and $14.00 for graduate interns; graduate pay applies to students enrolled in or recently graduated from an accredited program.
• Up to 20 hours per week for undergraduates and up to 25 for graduates; weekly schedule arranged with the supervisor.
• Housing is not guaranteed and depends on funding; if offered, it is taxable income.
