Spring Adjunct Faculty (Communications) – On Campus

About the role

The Department of Social Sciences at Texas A&M International University is creating a pool of qualified candidates for part‑time Spring 2027 adjunct faculty appointments in Communications. Selected faculty will teach up to six semester credit hours, hold office hours, and support students on campus.

Key responsibilities

• Teach up to six (6) semester credit hours in Communication as dictated by student demand.
• Maintain regular on‑campus presence, including scheduled office hours and student assistance.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Communication or a closely related field with at least 18 graduate hours.
• Preferred: Doctorate in the discipline with a minimum of 18 graduate hours, prior collegiate teaching experience, and relevant industry experience.

Required skills

• Effective oral and written communication.
• Professional interaction with the public and ability to plan, organize, and prioritize tasks.
