About the role
The Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond is seeking a part‑time intern from January through May 2027 to support its economic business survey team. The intern will help the Fed understand regional economic activity and provide valuable insights to business and community leaders.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct outreach to businesses via telephone and email to recruit them into the Business Survey panel.
- Engage existing panel members to encourage continued participation.
- Assist in designing and implementing marketing strategies to boost survey participation.
- Track, analyze, and report on outreach efforts to improve campaign performance.
- Analyze survey participant data to identify response trends and enhance the database.
- Conduct literature reviews on survey methodology and participate in related trainings.
Required profile
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work both independently and in a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Enthusiasm for business surveys and a customer‑service oriented mindset.
- Organized, resourceful, and comfortable conducting phone outreach.
