Sports Medicine Sales Representative - St. Louis

About the role

Stryker, a global medical technology company, is hiring a field-based sales associate for its Sports Medicine specialty in St. Louis, Missouri. As the face of Stryker products, you will support Sales Representatives in selling, promoting and marketing Stryker products to doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Educate doctors, nurses and staff on the proper use, maintenance, functionality and updates of Stryker products, as well as product portfolio changes and educational programs.
• Tailor promotional messages to each customer after product training, advise on product selection and answer questions about functionality.
• Distinguish Stryker products from competitors' products.
• Negotiate price and terms of transactions with customers and resolve customer complaints and questions.
• Analyze territory market potential and prioritize call patterns accordingly.

Required profile

• 0-2 years in an outside sales position; medical-related experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree, or 5 years of commercial sales or medical field experience including operating room experience.
• Successful completion of in-house product training.
• Ability to communicate with large groups and by telephone, and to drive an automobile.
• Up to 20% overnight travel per year.

Required skills

• Command of all Stryker products, including functionality, features and differentiators.
• Ability to use common office equipment such as a PC, fax and calculator.
• Results-driven, confident communicator and strategic closer who exceeds quarterly sales quotas.
