Sports Medicine Sales Associate - Hattiesburg, MS

About the role

Stryker, a global medical technology company, is hiring a field-based sales associate for its Sports Medicine specialty in Hattiesburg, MS. The associate acts as the face of Stryker products, supporting Sales Representatives in selling, promoting and marketing them, and educating doctors, nurses and other staff on product use, functionality and updates.

Key responsibilities

• Tailor Stryker's promotional message to each customer after product training, advise on product selection and answer questions about functionality.
• Distinguish Stryker products from competitors' products.
• Negotiate price and terms of transactions with customers and resolve customer complaints and questions.
• Analyze territory market potential and prioritize call patterns accordingly.
• Use common office equipment such as a PC, fax and modem.

Required profile

• 0-2 years in an outside sales position; medical-related experience preferred.
• B.A. or B.S. degree required.
• Successful completion of in-house product training.
• Ability to communicate with large groups and by telephone, and to drive an automobile.
• Up to 20% overnight travel annually; ability to negotiate price and terms and to command full product knowledge.
