Specimen Technician – 3-Month Contract

About the role

Pride Health is seeking a Specimen Technician to join a medical facility in Irving, TX on a three‑month contract with potential for contract‑to‑hire. The role involves high‑volume specimen processing and data entry in a fast‑paced, biohazard environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform specimen processing tasks including presort, centrifugation, aliquoting, and imaging.
• Enter high‑volume data accurately (6,000+ keystrokes per hour).
• Handle various specimen types and related test orders while adhering to safety and compliance regulations.
• Maintain productivity standards and keep the work area clean and organized.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong data entry ability with at least 6,000 keystrokes per hour.
• Detail‑oriented and able to follow safety and biohazard protocols.
• Flexible to work night shifts, weekends, holidays and overtime.

Required skills

• Specimen processing (presort, centrifugation, aliquoting, imaging).
• Basic computer skills for high‑volume data entry.
• Knowledge of medical/lab terminology (preferred).
