Specialty / Senior Specialty Representative - Dermatology

About the role

Amgen is looking for a Specialty Representative or Senior Specialty Representative to act as the primary customer contact for its products in the Jersey City area (territory: Staten Island, Clifton, Hoboken, West Orange, Livingston). The representative implements the marketing strategy and promotes Amgen products as directed by the District Manager, helping medical professionals understand the clinical benefits of the products and navigate the payer environment. Relocation is not offered.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate current, comprehensive knowledge of Amgen's products and their clinical benefits to medical professionals to drive appropriate utilization.
• Deliver branded sales messages, run planned programs, schedule and follow up on medical education programs, and meet or exceed sales targets through in-person and virtual engagement.
• Manage accounts, customize customer interactions, ensure product access, resolve or triage reimbursement issues and maintain product contracts.
• Give feedback on marketing strategy, analyze the effectiveness of sales activities and territory performance, and help develop territory plans with the District Manager.
• Share best practices with colleagues and uphold Amgen's values.

Required profile

• Specialty Representative: Bachelor's degree, or associate's degree plus 4 years of sales experience, or high school diploma/GED plus 6 years of sales experience.
• Senior Specialty Representative: Bachelor's degree plus 3 years of sales and/or non-sales clinical or scientific experience, or associate's degree plus 6 years, or high school diploma/GED plus 8 years of sales and/or clinical experience.
• Preferred: 3+ years of sales experience in pharma, biotech or medical devices, product/hospital sales in dermatology or related specialties, local market knowledge, established relationships in the territory, and a Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or Business Administration.

What we offer

• Expected annual salary of $89,880-$121,602 for Specialty Representatives and $115,949-$156,872 for Senior Specialty Representatives, depending on skills, experience and qualifications.
