Specialty Representative / Senior Specialty Representative - Respiratory Biologic

About the role

Amgen is hiring a Specialty Representative or Senior Specialty Representative for its respiratory biologic business in the Poughkeepsie, NY territory. The representative is the primary customer contact, implements the marketing strategy set by the District Manager and owns the business within the assigned territory, developing strategies that expand patient access to Amgen therapies.

Key responsibilities

• Own and grow the territory with a strategic business plan aligned with brand objectives and local market opportunities.
• Build trusted relationships with healthcare professionals, key decision-makers and office stakeholders.
• Deliver accurate, confident and compliant clinical and product discussions.
• Identify high-value account opportunities and develop strategic accounts by understanding treatment pathways, patient identification and access considerations.
• Partner with marketing, market access, reimbursement and other field colleagues.
• Maintain strong clinical, product and marketplace expertise and consistently meet performance objectives.
• Travel throughout the territory, including occasional overnight travel for training and sales meetings.

Required profile

• Specialty Representative: bachelor's degree, or associate's degree plus 4 years of sales experience, or high school diploma/GED plus 6 years of sales experience.
• Senior Specialty Representative: bachelor's degree plus 3 years of sales experience in pharma, biotech, medical device or hospital sales, or associate's degree plus 6 years, or high school diploma/GED plus 8 years in those fields.
• Preferred: five or more years of sales experience with a record of top performance, and experience in pulmonology, allergy, oncology, dermatology, rheumatology, inflammation, cardiology, neurology, endocrinology, hepatology, gastroenterology, infectious or rare diseases, GI or surgical specialties.
• Preferred: knowledge of the diseases, treatment pathways and customer dynamics of these specialties; bachelor's degree in life sciences, business administration, communications or a related field.

What we offer

• Expected annual salary of $89,880-$121,602 for Specialty Representative and $118,091-$159,771 for Senior Specialty Representative, depending on skills, experience and qualifications.
