Specialty Representative / Senior Specialty Representative - Primary Care

About the role

Amgen is looking for a Specialty Representative or Senior Specialty Representative to act as the primary customer contact for its products in the Olympia, Tacoma, Wenatchee, Puyallup, Poulsbo and WA territories. The representative implements the marketing strategy and promotes Amgen products as directed by the District Manager. Relocation is not offered; candidates ideally live in Olympia or Tacoma or within reasonable commuting distance, and frequent driving within the territory is required.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate current, comprehensive clinical knowledge of Amgen products to medical professionals and help them navigate the payer environment.
• Promote products and drive branded sales through planned programs, medical education scheduling and follow-up, and in-person and virtual engagement.
• Manage accounts, customize interactions, ensure product access, resolve or triage reimbursement issues and maintain product contracts.
• Give feedback on marketing strategy, analyse sales activity effectiveness and territory performance, and develop territory plans with the District Manager.
• Share best practices with colleagues and uphold Amgen's values.

Required profile

• Specialty Representative: Bachelor's degree, or Associate's degree with 4 years of sales experience, or high school diploma/GED with 6 years of sales experience.
• Senior Specialty Representative: Bachelor's degree and 3 years of sales and/or non-sales clinical or scientific experience, or Associate's degree with 6 years of sales and/or clinical experience, or high school diploma/GED with 8 years of sales and/or clinical experience.
• Preferred: experience in pharma, biotech, diagnostics, insurance, pharmacy, medical devices or supplies; product/hospital sales experience in specialties such as oncology, cardiology, nephrology, dermatology, neurology, etc.; local market knowledge; Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or Business Administration.

• Expected annual salary of $89,880-$121,602 for Specialty Representatives and $126,540-$171,202 for Senior Specialty Representatives, depending on skills, experience and qualifications.
