Specialty Pharmacist – Medley (Full‑Time)

About the role

The UHealth System at the University of Miami is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist for its Specialty Pharmacy in Medley. You will conduct drug utilization reviews, consult with prescribers, and guide patients on safe and effective medication therapy.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient care and medication regimens.
• Advise physicians on drug safety, dosing errors, and potential side effects.
• Promote appropriate drug usage and supervise therapeutic procedures.
• Coordinate preparation, labeling, and delivery of medications in compliance with regulations.
• Maintain accurate dispensing records according to local, state, and federal laws.
• Observe and treat patients across care settings while conducting research to advance pharmaceutical care.
• Individualize medication plans considering pharmacodynamic and pharmacokinetic variations.
• Evaluate medication histories, assess adherence, and recommend modifications to achieve therapeutic goals.

Required profile

• Pharm.D. degree from an accredited college of pharmacy.
• Current Florida pharmacy licensure in good standing.
• Minimum of three years of relevant clinical pharmacy experience.
