Specialty Lending Analyst / Associate

About the role

LCG Advisors is looking for a Specialty Lending Analyst or Associate to join its Specialty Lending Group in Nashville. The role involves direct interaction with institutional lenders, private credit funds, and banks, focusing on collateral and operational due diligence across diverse industries.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct financial and operational due diligence, including on‑site or remote examinations and portfolio reviews.
• Develop and use Excel‑based workpapers to complete scoped procedures for each project.
• Evaluate complex portfolios and credit structures within client‑defined scopes.
• Collaborate with senior team members to identify risks, reconcile financial data, and assess operational performance.
• Interact professionally with clients through calls, meetings, and email updates.
• Engage directly with subject‑company stakeholders to discuss business updates and scope‑related questions.
• Prepare comprehensive written reports summarizing findings, trends, and risk factors.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field (other disciplines considered with relevant experience).
• Strong analytical mindset with curiosity for financial and operational data.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to meet strict deadlines in a client‑service environment and manage overlapping projects.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word.
