Specialty Cleaning Technician

About the role

ServiceMaster is looking for a dependable, hardworking and detail-oriented Specialty Cleaning Technician to provide professional cleaning services to residential and commercial customers. The role covers carpet, area rug, upholstery, HVAC duct, tile and grout cleaning, general cleaning and post-construction and damage-related cleaning. The position is full time.

Key responsibilities

• Carpet and area rug cleaning: identify stains and fibers, remove stains, treat spots and deodorize, using truck-mounted and portable equipment
• Upholstery cleaning: clean sofas, chairs and sectionals, protect surrounding furniture and property
• HVAC and air duct cleaning: clean ducts, vents and registers, follow containment procedures
• Tile and grout cleaning, including grout sealing when needed
• Deep cleaning of floors, walls, ceilings and fixtures, post-construction cleaning and fire, smoke and water damage cleanup
• Load and unload equipment, maintain tools and vehicles, document work with photos and job notes, communicate professionally with customers
• Protect customer property, follow safety procedures and help with restoration projects when needed

Required profile

• Previous professional cleaning experience preferred but not required; carpet, upholstery, HVAC or tile cleaning experience is a plus
• IICRC certifications preferred but not required
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, stand, bend and kneel for long periods, and work in confined spaces
• Strong attention to detail, customer service and communication skills, and ability to work independently and as part of a team
