About the role

The Special Procedures Technologist 3 supports the day‑to‑day operations of the interventional radiology suite at the University of Miami. Working closely with interventional physicians, you will operate radiographic equipment to produce high‑quality diagnostic images while minimizing radiation exposure.

Key responsibilities

• Verify patient identity and clinical history before each procedure.
• Assist with patient interviews, documentation, and informed consent.
• Prepare patients, maintain sterile technique, and provide emotional support.
• Operate radiographic equipment, position patients, and acquire scout images.
• Apply radiation protection principles for patients, staff, and self.
• Supply necessary instruments to the radiologist throughout procedures.
• Monitor patient status, initiate life‑support measures, and assist in emergencies.
• Maintain knowledge of patient monitoring devices and adhere to university policies.

Required profile

• Associate degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum three years of experience in interventional radiology or a related imaging area.
• Strong learning agility and teamwork orientation.
