Special Events Intern

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Special Events Intern to support the planning and execution of events for Player 15 Group, the company behind the Phoenix Suns, Phoenix Mercury and other sports properties. The role offers hands‑on experience in event logistics, cross‑functional collaboration and guest services.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare event materials, manage RSVP lists, develop run‑of‑shows and assist with budgeting.
• Coordinate with marketing, creative, building operations and other internal teams.
• Support on‑site event set‑up, breakdown and flow management.
• Liaise with third‑party vendors, partners and hospitality teams.
• Provide guest services, greet attendees and address inquiries.
• Travel to market locations for vendor or client pickups and drop‑offs.
• Participate in post‑event evaluations and capture feedback.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED; currently a junior, senior or graduate student.
• Pursuing a degree in hospitality, event management, sports management or related field (preferred).
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to multitask.
• Flexible schedule with availability evenings and weekends as needed.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with event management software (preferred).
