About the role
The Manteca Unified School District is seeking a qualified Special Education Teacher (RSP) to serve students at George McParland Elementary School and Neil Hafley Elementary School. The teacher will provide intensive support to students with extensive, moderate, and severe disabilities, including autism spectrum disorders.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver individualized instruction and support to students with a range of special education needs.
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with families and support staff.
- Maintain accurate records, assessments, and progress reports.
- Participate in school-wide meetings, professional development, and the district’s In‑House Teacher Induction Program.
- Ensure compliance with state and district regulations, including TB clearance and fingerprinting.
Required profile
- Valid Education Specialist Instruction Credential covering Extensive Support Needs, Mild to Moderate Support Needs, Moderate/Severe Disabilities, and Early Childhood Special Education.
- Added Authorization in Autism Spectrum Disorders and Early Childhood, or a Bridge Document covering the same areas.
- CBEST certification and EL Authorization (proof required if not embedded in credential).
- Two recent professional letters of recommendation from a principal, assistant principal, department chair, program director, or university supervisor.
- Ability to provide required pre‑employment documentation online; no mailed or emailed documents will be considered.
Required skills
- Proficiency in developing and delivering specialized instructional strategies for diverse learner populations.
- Knowledge of California special education regulations and credentialing requirements.
- Effective communication and collaboration with families, staff, and community partners.
