Special Education Teacher (4-6 SDC M/S Structured Learning)

About the role

The Manteca Unified School District is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher for Golden West Elementary School. This position focuses on delivering structured learning for students in grades 4‑6 with extensive, mild‑to‑moderate, or moderate/severe support needs.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver, and assess individualized instruction for students with diverse disabilities.
• Implement Structured Learning (SDC) strategies to support academic and social development.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families to create inclusive learning environments.
• Maintain accurate records, progress reports, and compliance documentation.
• Participate in professional development, including the district’s In‑House Teacher Induction Program.

Required profile

• Valid California Education Specialist Instruction Credential covering Extensive Support Needs, Mild to Moderate Support Needs, Moderate/Severe Disabilities, or Early Childhood Special Education, or an equivalent Bridge Document.
• Submission of required documents: letter of introduction, resume, credential copy, transcripts (for pre‑interns), CBEST/EL authorization proof, and two recent professional recommendation letters.
• Pre‑employment requirements such as TB clearance and fingerprinting (employee cost if hired).
• Ability to meet out‑of‑state credential requirements if applicable.
