Special Education (SPED-IRR) Teacher for Grades 26-27

About the role

This position provides specialized instruction for students in grades 26‑27, focusing on individualized education programs (IEPs) and fostering academic progress within a supportive learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver curriculum‑aligned instruction while differentiating content to meet diverse learner needs.
• Develop, monitor, and revise IEPs, including accommodations, Behavior Intervention Plans, and related services.
• Utilize student data and assessments to inform instructional planning and modify teaching strategies.
• Incorporate assistive and instructional technology to enhance learning outcomes.
• Maintain a safe, orderly classroom, enforce school policies, and apply positive behavior management techniques.
• Collaborate with colleagues, families, and support staff to ensure comprehensive student support.

Required profile

• Valid Georgia Educator Certificate in the assigned teaching field.
• Strong knowledge of curriculum standards, pedagogical practices, and special education regulations.
• Ability to analyze data, implement IEPs, and adjust instruction accordingly.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.

Required skills

• Experience using instructional technology platforms.
