Sourcing Lead

About the role

The Sourcing Lead will develop and execute strategic sourcing initiatives that align with divisional business objectives. This role focuses on cost optimisation, supplier performance improvement, and risk mitigation across assigned commodities within a highly regulated environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies for assigned commodities.
• Partner with global category teams to support global category strategies.
• Negotiate long‑term supply contracts to achieve optimal pricing and terms.
• Serve as escalation point for supplier‑related issues and performance challenges.
• Conduct cost analysis and make‑vs‑buy evaluations.
• Support budgeting, cost roll, and financial forecasting processes.
• Identify supply‑base risks and develop mitigation plans.
• Monitor market conditions, supplier performance, and technology trends.
• Develop supplier scorecards and participate in business reviews.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders to ensure sourcing alignment with business needs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of relevant professional experience, preferably in supply management.
• Experience in Medical Device, Pharmaceutical, or other highly regulated industries is highly preferred.
• Strong influencing and negotiation skills with a proven track record of achieving favourable commercial outcomes.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities across all organisational levels.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings (preferred).
• Capability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
