About the role
GovCIO is seeking a Software Programmer 2 to join its team. This full‑time position is based in Fairfax, VA but will be performed remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Build and code applications or modules using languages such as C++, Visual Basic, ABAP, Java and HTML.
- Provide patches, upgrades and maintenance for existing systems.
- Participate in system planning, deployment and ensure software compliance standards are met.
- Design graphical user interfaces (GUI) as needed and prepare operating instructions and documentation.
- Perform code reviews and contribute to documentation, user guides and operational procedures.
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- 2–5 years of software programming experience or equivalent.
