Software Integration Engineer - Defense

About the role

We are seeking a Systems Integration Engineer to lead the hardware and software integration of defense vehicle platforms. The role bridges compute, sensor, and drive‑by‑wire subsystems to deliver a demo‑ready, fully functional system.

Key responsibilities

• Define and drive hardware architecture for compute and sensor packages, including procurement and supplier onboarding.
• Coordinate wiring harness design, sensor mounting, and cross‑team dependencies to meet mechanical and shipping schedules.
• Specify sensor tuning requirements (camera ISP parameters, resolution, latency) and work with perception teams to achieve targets.
• Partner with autonomy and low‑level controls teams to scope, validate, and tune drive‑by‑wire systems for teleoperation and full autonomy.
• Identify technical risks early, communicate them to engineering leadership, and implement mitigation plans.
• Travel on‑site, including international deployments, to lead builds and installations.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with vehicle hardware integration, sensor systems, and embedded control.
• Proven ability to make and defend technical trade‑offs across hardware and software domains.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and willingness to work in fast‑paced, cross‑functional teams.
