Software Engineering Manager – Tax Innovation

About the role

PwC is looking for a Software Engineering Manager to lead the Tax Innovation team. You will guide the design, development, and operation of AI‑driven, data‑intensive tax platforms that help clients modernise their tax processes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead one or more delivery teams through the full software lifecycle, from architecture to production support.
• Provide technical direction and mentorship, ensuring high‑quality code and best‑in‑class engineering practices.
• Drive agile delivery and DevOps adoption to accelerate time‑to‑value for tax solutions.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders to translate complex tax requirements into scalable, cloud‑native applications.
• Own project planning, budgeting, and risk management to meet client expectations.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading software engineering teams in a professional services or consulting environment.
• Strong understanding of tax domain challenges and the ability to translate them into technical solutions.
• Excellent communication and people‑management skills, with a focus on coaching and developing talent.
