Software Engineering Manager

About the role

Mastercard is seeking a Software Engineering Manager to lead the Commercial Client Experience program within Commercial Solutions. Based in O'Fallon, MO, you will guide a high‑performing team building modern authentication and authorization solutions for our global customers.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, design, and develop technical solutions that meet business requirements while adhering to Mastercard standards.
• Provide people leadership and technical guidance, setting a vision that prioritises business value.
• Act as Scrum Master to ensure successful delivery of software capabilities.
• Own complex problems and production incidents, collaborating across services for timely resolution.
• Conduct code reviews, foster blameless post‑mortems, and promote knowledge sharing across the organization.

• Proven track record of delivering results and building high‑performing development teams.
• Strong technical leader capable of communicating vision and roadmap to diverse stakeholders.
• Experience with scalable, reliable, maintainable, and secure applications.
• Hands‑on programming expertise combined with people‑management experience.
