Software Engineer – Tactical Edge Systems

About the role

ISPA Technology is seeking a Software Engineer to support the TITAN and Edge Theater Architecture programs in Panama City Beach, Florida. The role focuses on delivering high‑performance software for tactical edge missions where reliability and speed are critical.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, integrate, test and sustain software for mission applications, data services, integration layers and tactical edge tools.
• Support integration with ISR data, tactical communications, command and control, targeting and mission analytics.
• Build and maintain code using modern engineering practices, secure coding, automated testing, configuration management and DevSecOps principles.
• Collaborate with cyber, systems, network and mission stakeholders to ensure software is secure, interoperable and operationally relevant.
• Produce architecture and design documentation, interface definitions, test plans and participate in technical reviews.
• Troubleshoot and resolve defects across development, test, lab and operational environments.
• Deploy and support software in containerized, virtualized, cloud, on‑premise or edge environments.

Required profile

• Active Secret clearance (Top Secret preferred) and ability to work onsite in Panama City Beach, FL.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset and ability to work with incomplete requirements.
• Effective communication skills and a collaborative attitude.

Required skills

• Proficiency in one or more languages such as Java, Python, C++, C#, JavaScript, TypeScript or Go.
• Experience with software design, debugging, integration, testing and documentation.
• Familiarity with Git, issue tracking, CI/CD pipelines and modern development workflows.
• Knowledge of containers, Kubernetes, Linux, APIs, message brokers, databases, data pipelines and micro‑services (preferred).
• Understanding of DevSecOps, secure coding, RMF, STIG and cyber hardening practices (preferred).
