Software Engineer – Systems Engineering AI Tooling

About the role

Applied Intuition is seeking a Systems Engineering Tools & Traceability Engineer to build internal platforms that support development and validation for autonomous‑vehicle programs. You will design and productionize scalable backend systems and AI‑driven workflows that connect requirements, modeling, validation, and test data into a unified engineering platform.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and productionize internal tools and AI workflows for system engineering and validation.
• Integrate data across requirements‑management, modeling, and validation tools to enable end‑to‑end traceability.
• Build backend services and APIs that unify distributed engineering artifacts.
• Create dashboards and KPIs to measure requirement coverage, trace completeness, and validation progress.
• Own and evolve the core traceability data model, supporting versioning, baselining, and impact analysis.
• Refactor prototypes into production‑grade, certifiable systems with strong reliability, access control, and auditability.
• Collaborate closely with systems engineering, safety, and autonomy teams.

Required profile

• Experience building scalable backend infrastructure for engineering or AI workflows.
• Familiarity with traceability, version control, and data integration across multiple tools.
• Ability to work in a safety‑critical, production‑grade environment.
• Strong collaboration skills with cross‑functional engineering teams.
