Software Engineer – Space Data Centers

About the role

Starcloud is building space‑based data centers and needs a Software Engineer to design, develop, and deploy the software that powers these low‑latency, high‑capacity systems. You will own the full software lifecycle and work closely with hardware, firmware, and operations teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop reliable, high‑availability software for orbital data centers.
• Design fault‑tolerant, embedded systems that run on custom hardware.
• Integrate software with hardware components and optimise performance.
• Create and execute test plans, including simulations and on‑orbit validation.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines and monitoring tools to ensure code quality.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or related field, or 2+ years of professional software development experience.
• Proficiency in C, C++, Python or similar languages.
• Experience with the full software development lifecycle.
