Software Engineer – Python & Media Workflow

About the role

We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our small, high‑performing engineering team. You will work on building and improving file‑based media workflows for TelevisaUnivision, tackling a variety of technical challenges across back‑end and front‑end development.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop back‑end (80%) and front‑end (20%) applications, integrating with third‑party APIs and external systems.
• Identify automation opportunities in media management and deliver maintainable software solutions, including client‑side and server‑side scripts.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for development projects, deployments, and operational support.
• Act as an escalation point for complex media‑management software issues, collaborating with internal teams to resolve them.
• Participate actively in Scrum ceremonies: daily stand‑ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Utilize the Elasticsearch stack (Beats, Logstash, Kibana) to collect, process, and visualize data.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Minimum two years of professional development experience.
• Strong background in Python development and familiarity with open‑source technologies.
• Experience working with Linux/UNIX environments, preferably RedHat variants.
