Software Engineer – Mobile App (Vehicle Software)

About the role

Join Tesla's Mobile team within the Vehicle Software organization to build and ship user‑facing features for the Tesla Mobile App, a core part of the ownership experience for millions of customers.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, debug, and own end‑to‑end features for iOS and Android.
• Optimize code for performance, stability, and maintainability.
• Apply first‑principles engineering to create high‑quality solutions.
• Collaborate with hardware, firmware, UI, back‑end, QA, and design teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of professional mobile development experience (iOS/Android).
• Proficiency in Swift, Kotlin, Objective‑C, or Java.
• Familiarity with TypeScript or JavaScript; React/React Native experience preferred.
• Strong grasp of computer‑science fundamentals and design patterns.
