About the role
USAA is seeking a mid‑level Java Full Stack Engineer to join its Investment Experience Technology team. You will help design and implement high‑impact solutions for a new investment services platform, working in an agile, fast‑paced environment that values innovation.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop, code, and test complex technical solutions.
- Investigate and resolve application and system issues.
- Conduct systems analysis and recommend process improvements.
- Prepare and install solutions based on system specifications and standards.
- Follow the software development lifecycle and participate in design reviews.
- Mentor junior engineers, review teammates’ code, and ensure compliance with risk policies.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (e.g., approved coding bootcamp certification).
- At least 4 years of software development experience.
- Minimum 2 years of experience delivering production‑grade software.
