Software Engineer Intern

About the role

Hadrian is seeking a Software Engineer Intern to join the team building the software backbone of its autonomous factories. You will work alongside experienced engineers on real production systems, contributing code that ships and directly impacts factory scaling.

Key responsibilities

• Build and improve internal tools, dashboards, and automation systems supporting factory operations.
• Contribute to backend services, APIs, and data pipelines used across engineering, operations, and quality teams.
• Design and implement features that enhance visibility into production workflows, capacity, and program status.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including operations, program management, and quality to gather requirements and deliver software solutions.
• Write clean, well‑tested code, participate in code reviews, and surface technical risks.
• Participate in architectural discussions.

Required profile

• Current university student pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science or a related field, graduating between Dec 2026 and Jun 2027.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and capacity to work through ambiguous technical challenges.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Attention to detail and follow‑through.
• Interest in manufacturing, aerospace, defense, or industrial systems.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑moving, highly ambiguous environment.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Los Angeles, CA.

Required skills

• Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python, TypeScript, Go, or similar.
• Familiarity with backend development, APIs, or data engineering.
