Software Engineer – In‑Office, Overland Park

About the role

Ad Astra is seeking a Software Engineer to join its in‑office team in Overland Park, Kansas. You will work within an Agile Software Development Lifecycle, designing, developing, and implementing cloud‑based solutions that help higher‑education institutions improve student completion rates.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality software quickly and reliably.
• Collaborate with product managers to plan and build customer‑valued solutions.
• Conduct thorough testing to ensure reliability, security, and robustness.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues in existing applications.
• Maintain software through bug fixes, dependency updates, and best‑practice improvements.
• Identify system needs proactively and implement iterative enhancements without waiting for direction.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
• At least 2 years of relevant software development experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong time‑management and ability to work independently on‑site.
