Software Engineer III, Mobile, iOS, XR

About the role

Google is looking for a Software Engineer III to join the XR iOS team, building immersive experiences that bring Google’s XR capabilities to the iPhone ecosystem. The role focuses on developing high‑performance iOS applications using Objective‑C, Swift, and C++.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain iOS applications for XR experiences.
• Integrate video streaming and remote rendering technologies into mobile apps.
• Optimize performance and scalability of large‑scale systems on iOS.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to debug and resolve complex issues.
• Contribute to data analysis, visualization tools, and algorithmic improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2+ years of experience programming in Objective‑C or Swift.
• 2+ years of experience programming in C++.
• 2+ years of experience with iOS application development.
• Preferred: Master’s or PhD in Computer Science or related field.
• Preferred: Experience with performance analysis, large‑scale systems, data structures, and algorithms.
• Preferred: Experience with video streaming and remote rendering.
