Software Engineer III, Mobile (Android), XR

About the role

Google is looking for a Software Engineer III to design and launch AI‑driven experiences on Android XR devices such as smart glasses and headsets. You will work in a fast‑moving environment, collaborating with product, UX, and research teams to bring innovative mobile solutions to life.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and ship user‑facing applications for Android XR platforms.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally to define feature requirements and prioritize development work.
• Integrate AI capabilities to create contextual, conversational experiences.
• Maintain high code quality, performance, and accessibility standards.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 2 years of professional experience in Kotlin and Java.
• Minimum 2 years of Android application development experience.
• Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms (preferred).
• Experience building accessible technologies (preferred).
