Software Engineer II – .NET & AI Focus

About the role

Sharp Hue is looking for a Software Engineer II to join its AI‑first development team in Northwest Arkansas. You will build production‑grade web applications, APIs, and cloud‑native services while leveraging AI coding assistants to accelerate delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement custom web applications using .NET Core, C#, MVC, and Azure services.
• Own features from client discovery through deployment and production support.
• Utilize AI tools such as Claude or Cursor for scaffolding, testing, documentation, and problem‑solving.
• Participate in client‑facing activities including discovery sessions, technical walkthroughs, and status updates.
• Contribute to internal tooling, skills libraries, and reusable engineering patterns.
• Review teammates' code and raise the technical and AI‑fluency standards.
• Translate business requirements into clear technical architecture and communicate trade‑offs to non‑technical stakeholders.

Required profile

• 2+ years of professional .NET development experience.
• Fluent with Azure services (web apps, function apps, APIs).
• Proven track record of shipping code to production and managing its lifecycle.
• Daily user of AI coding assistants with a solid judgment on when to trust or verify outputs.
• Comfortable conducting client conversations, explaining trade‑offs, and providing progress updates.
• Independent problem‑solver who knows when to seek help.
• Clear, concise written communication for commit messages, documentation, and client emails.
