Software Engineer II

About the role

We are building the next generation of automated retail intelligence by turning store‑shelf images into real‑time inventory signals. As a Software Engineer II you will design, develop, and operate the backend systems that ingest massive image streams, run model inference, and deliver reliable inventory insights to our partners.

Key responsibilities

• Design and maintain scalable data pipelines that process large‑scale image and metadata streams.
• Develop backend services that orchestrate model inference, post‑process predictions, and expose high‑quality data to downstream systems.
• Ensure high availability, low latency, and fault tolerance across distributed, high‑throughput systems.
• Create data models and processing logic that convert raw model outputs into accurate, interpretable inventory signals.
• Collaborate with ML engineers, data scientists, mobile engineers, product managers, and operations teams to define requirements and continuously improve system quality.

Required profile

• B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience.

Required skills

• Strong proficiency in C, C++, Java, Python, or Go.
• Experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Knowledge of modern computer‑vision techniques such as YOLO, Faster R‑CNN, Vision Transformers, and Siamese Networks.

What we offer

• Base salary range: $171,000 – $190,000 per year.
