Software Engineer II – Data Engineering

About the role

LG Ad Solutions is seeking a motivated Software Engineer II to join its Data & Platform Engineering team. The role focuses on designing, building, and scaling terabyte‑scale data pipelines that support core advertising and Automatic Content Recognition (ACR) systems. You will work on‑site in Denver or New York, collaborating with product managers, data scientists, and engineers across the US and India.

Key responsibilities

• Own and maintain complex data pipelines and platform projects.
• Design, develop, test, and deploy backend services that process large volumes of advertising and ACR data.
• Create internal tooling to enforce data governance, quality, and compliance.
• Define scope and deliverables for features of limited complexity and provide accurate time estimates.
• Contribute to multi‑component feature planning with minimal guidance.
• Debug and resolve complex issues in distributed, high‑scale data workflows.
• Communicate technical designs and decisions to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 1–2 years of professional software development experience, preferably in backend or data engineering.
• Strong foundation in computer science fundamentals and problem‑solving.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate across time zones (core hours 8 AM‑11 AM MST).
