About the role

Uber is looking for a Software Engineer I to join its Seattle team. In this entry‑level position you will contribute to the design, development, and testing of core software applications that power our platform.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test software components using Uber’s technology stack.
• Apply technical knowledge to evaluate complex data and provide recommendations for issue resolution.
• Support business operations by improving engineering productivity and reliability.
• Build reusable software modules that integrate into larger systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues to maintain system reliability.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong foundation in object‑oriented programming and software development lifecycle.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
