Software Engineer – Developer Success

About the role

Discord is building tools that let game developers integrate Discord’s social experience directly into their games. As a Software Engineer on the Developer Success team you will create features that empower millions of gamers to connect before, during, and after play.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and ship features for the Discord app, developer portal, APIs, real‑time infrastructure, and Social SDK.
• Collaborate with engineers to write, review, and maintain scalable, high‑quality code.
• Own projects end‑to‑end, from design through post‑launch monitoring.
• Work directly with game developer partners and the DevRelations team to gather feedback and refine tools.
• Partner with product managers, designers, and partner managers to navigate ambiguous requirements.
• Continuously raise the quality bar through meticulous attention to detail.

Required profile

• 1–3 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience in game development or building tools for game developers.
• Product‑oriented mindset and ability to collaborate across functions.
• Growth mindset: eager to learn new languages, ask for help, and iterate quickly.
• Comfortable leveraging AI coding tools to boost productivity.

What we offer

• Base salary range $160,000 – $180,000 per year.
