About the role
We are looking for a deployment‑focused Software Engineer to work directly with Grotto’s customers, building custom features, integrations and workflows on our Python and VueJS/TypeScript stack. The role is on‑site in New York City with occasional travel to client sites.
Key responsibilities
- Design and implement customer‑specific features, integrations and customizations.
- Collaborate with Deployment Leads to translate client needs into working software.
- Deliver fast, short‑cycle releases and ensure technical success for multiple customers.
- Visit customer sites a few days per month to gather requirements and observe usage.
- Work closely with design, product, and founders to shape delivery engineering practices.
Required profile
- 3+ years of full‑stack development experience.
- Experience with Python and VueJS/TypeScript.
- Background in early‑stage or growth‑stage startups.
- Comfort with ambiguous requirements and a focus on customer impact.
- Strong communication skills and willingness to travel.
