Software Engineer – All Levels

About the role

Allstate is looking for Software Engineers at every career stage to build and enhance digital products that protect families and their belongings. Engineers will work across the full software development lifecycle, contributing to both frontend (web/mobile) and backend services while applying modern engineering practices.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in iteration planning, daily stand‑ups and retrospectives.
• Design, develop, test, and maintain full‑stack applications.
• Practice paired programming and test‑driven development (TDD) to deliver high‑quality code.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and continuous delivery practices.
• Troubleshoot and support software products in user environments.
• Mentor junior engineers and share knowledge across teams (for senior levels).
• Influence technical strategy, architecture and cross‑product collaboration (for lead level).

Required profile

• Strong customer‑centric mindset with the ability to solve well‑defined problems.
• Experience delivering features independently and collaborating in agile teams.
• Ability to mentor others and contribute to engineering best practices.

Required skills
